Early Career
Thomas Stray began his career as a stockbroker and investment banker in Norway. He quickly gained a reputation as one of the country's top stockbrokers, earning him substantial wealth and recognition. During the dot-com boom of the late 1990s, Stray heavily invested in internet companies, anticipating that the rapid growth of the industry would lead to further financial success.
Bankruptcy and Move to Dubai
However, when the dot-com bubble burst in the early 2000s, many of the companies in which Stray had invested saw their valuations plummet. This led to him filing for what was at the time one of the largest personal bankruptcies in Norwegian history. In search of a fresh start, Stray relocated to Dubai.
Rebuilding and Current Endeavors
Once in Dubai, Stray began rebuilding his career and financial standing. By 2006, he had managed to repay all of his creditors and turn his fortunes around. He went on to establish a successful family office, specializing in digital transformation and staying at the forefront of the fast-paced technology sector.
Today, Thomas Stray is an active public speaker, sharing his insights and experiences with audiences around the world. He has diversified his investments across multiple verticals and is currently raising a fund focused on digital mining, data centers, industry-sized batteries for renewable power, health tech, and complex financial solutions.
Personal Life
Stray was born in Norway on October 10, 1970. He currently resides in Dubai, where he oversees the day-to-day operations of his family office and various business ventures.
